Owner and operator Chris Mahe first started working in the painting industry in 1995 with domestic and commercial painting. His first employer and friend had an appreciation for quality and Chris attentively learnt during his time assisting him. A few years later he was requested to paint the National Museum which has since won many architectural awards. He was also involved in the construction of the National Zoo and Aquarium.
Chris has always strived to offer the highest quality work and continue learning new skills and improving old ones. In particular he taught himself how to improve a gloss enamel finish to resemble a beautiful mirror finish which he was often personally requested to apply for clients demanding the best.
While offering high quality painting, clients would often ask him to do additional work in different trades, and he quickly learnt how to accomplish the tasks to the high standard expected. He has always been kept busy through referrals, offering quality painting, carpentry, tiling, fencing, rendering, roofing and much more. On a number of occasions Chris was asked to improve garages, in particular the floors, and so he spent some time researching how to offer the best service providing repair, appearance and longevity. So we now have Signature Surface.
Although Chris had already been involved with polymer flooring and concrete resurfacing, he has recently completed the technical Parchem Training Course for all their products.
He also offers services such as rendering internal brick walls, painting and storage to complete a garage renovation.
