Pavers create a great effect for paths, driveways and outdoor entertainment areas, until the weeds come up (requiring constant maintenance) and the pavers become uneven and unsightly. Spray paving is a great alternative to traditional pave stones. With many patterns and colours to choose from, the effect of traditional paving can be mimicked without the extra hassle. Stenciling is done on existing concrete, and two methods of creating the stencil pattern ensure an option for all budgets.

The most economical way to produce a paving effect on existing concrete is to simply spray paint a pattern on the concrete. Typically existing concrete slabs are light in colour, so just a coloured top coat is required. Upon completion of the spraying, the original concrete forms the “grout” lines. Alternatively, two colours can be chosen, one for the “grout” lines (which is applied as a base coat on the concrete) and then a second colour which is stenciled on to create the pavers.
Alternatvely a thin new layer of coloured concrete can be sprayed on top of existing concrete. Using a stencil when spraying leaves an impression when the stencil is removed to give the look of grout lines.
